Part 1: (SELECTIVE FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT ASSESSMENT) Learn to identify specific functional deficits with patient motion.

Part 1 is a program designed to identify problem areas in body motion; this part is not geared to golf. Qualified instructors will cover the SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) in detail.

Part 2: Active Diagnosis and Diagnostic Algorithm; These methods are used to quickly and accurately isolate and differentiate soft tissues to find the source of a problem. We begin with the results of the SFMA then apply the algorithm to identify the first aberrant texture, tension., movement or function. Once this is found we use differential palpation techniques to isolate and identify the offending structure(s).
This is a new course designed to show how Dr. Leahy accurately palpates (and subsequently fixes) soft tissue structures. We will isolate as many muscles and nerves as possible, after which we will move the adjacent structure in order to accurately identify each specific muscle and nerve. Any altered relative motion between structures should be evident during these procedures.
